The material of the Frisian clogs

The traditional Frisian clogs that you can buy at Hollands Klompenhuis are made of poplar wood. This beautiful soft wood is lightweight and therefore very easy to walk. The wood is painted with a blue paint and finished with the beautiful Frisian flag. Furthermore, the clog has a blunt nose and an open heel. You can therefore get in and out very easily. Did you know that our clogs are made by one of the last clog makers in Noord-Brabant? That makes this wooden footwear extra special!

The benefits of wooden clogs

Are you considering buying real Frisian clogs? An excellent choice! Wooden clogs offer many advantages. Since they are made of wood, they ventilate very well. This will prevent you from getting sweaty feet. In addition, your feet stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. They also have an orthopedic design that provides a lot of support for the feet. Finally, your feet are optimally protected by the sturdy material.
